Three Albanian referees have been appointed to judge one of the most important matches of the "play off" phase in the Greek football championship.

It is about the match between AEK Athens and Panathinaikos, scheduled to take place on May 4. The match is considered a major derby of the Greek capital and has great weight in the race for the championship title.

The main referee of this match will be Albanian Enea Jorgji, who will be accompanied by assistants Denis Rexha and Ridiger Çokaj.

This composition represents one of the most important international delegations for Albanian referees in one of the most important leagues in the region.

The decision to appoint a foreign refereeing trio was taken by the Greek Referees Association, which preferred to avoid involving local referees to reduce the possibility of controversy or disputes, given the great rivalry and tension that usually characterizes matches between the two Athens teams.

Enea Jorgji is one of the most experienced referees in Albania. He received the FIFA badge in 2012 and has a long career officiating national and international matches.

He began his refereeing career in 2009 and has been part of many important events, including UEFA and FIFA matches at various levels.

Regarding the standings in the Greek championship, Panathinaikos holds second place with 56 points, while AEK is in fourth place with 53 points.

The small difference in points and the crucial stage of the season make this match of particular importance for the further progress in the title fight.
