Real Madrid chooses new coach, Ancelotti is considered for another position at

Real Madrid are close to signing Xabi Alonso as the new manager to replace Carlo Ancelotti. The Spanish club have already made the decision to part ways with the Italian coach at the end of the season, and preparations for the transition have already begun.

According to "Relevo", Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso are very close to an agreement to officially start their collaboration. The Basque coach, who currently manages Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, is expected to inform his club of his desire to leave in order to take over the management of the Madrid team. Although Alonso has a release clause of up to 20 million euros, there is a verbal agreement between him and Leverkusen's management, which is expected to facilitate his departure without major financial obstacles.

For the interim period, and especially for the Club World Cup in June, Real Madrid will be led by Santiago Solari in the capacity of interim coach. This solution has also been approved by Alonso himself, who will sit on the bench after this tournament.

On the other hand, Ancelotti's departure from Real Madrid is not considered a sudden or problematic departure. The Italian coach is expected to take over the management of the Brazilian national team, but his relationship with the Spanish club will not be completely severed. Ancelotti has a contract valid until 2026 and earns 11 million euros per year, and the club will honor the remainder of this agreement.

Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has taken steps to include Ancelotti in another role within the club following his departure as coach. He intends for the Italian to remain part of the Real Madrid structure as an ambassador for the club, a role that has previously been offered to other well-known names such as Roberto Carlos. The position would allow the Italian coach to continue representing the club at international events, while maintaining his connection to the institution.

This move by Real Madrid aims to ensure a smooth transition to the bench and maintain continuity in the club's image and international representation. It is in line with the club's policy of involving well-known and respected figures in institutional roles after their active period on the pitch or on the bench has ended.
