Spectacular duel! City defeats Liverpool after dramatic upset

Manchester City achieved an important 1-2 victory with a comeback over Liverpool at Anfield, in the 25th week.

After a goalless first half, the home side opened the scoring in the 74th minute through Szoboszlai. Pep Guardiola's team responded in the 84th minute with Bernardo Silva, who equalised before the dramatic final whistle.

The upset was finalized in the 93rd minute, when Erling Haaland was accurate from the penalty spot.

In extra time, a goal by Rayan Cherki was disallowed for a foul, while Szoboszlai was shown a red card for a foul on Haaland.

The success keeps the Citizens in second place with 50 points, six behind leaders Arsenal. Liverpool remain in sixth place with 39 points, leaving them out of the Champions League zone.
