Rama: If former KLA leaders are buried alive, then Bill Clinton and Tony Blair

Prime Minister Edi Rama has described the prosecutors in the trial of former KLA leaders in The Hague as instruments of a court that is more political than the courts of Serbia.

Rama described the entire judicial process as a disaster for democratic Europe and the West.

Among other things, Rama, ironizing the process, stated that if the four former KLA leaders are convicted, then Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, or the prime ministers of the countries that gave the green light to the bombings should also be arrested.

"Those prosecutors are not just idiots, but are instruments of a court even more political than the courts of Serbia in relation to Kosovo. With the laws of the time, when the war happened. International justice financed by democratic states, which to their shame continue to follow with the greatest indifference this entire catastrophe for democratic Europe.  

This makes us ask ourselves today what we can and should do. This is a catastrophe for the democratic West, which Kosovo tested, and the West passed the test. But if today it does not pass and undertakes to bury these 4 innocent people alive and, if not worse, to hurt Kosovo, then this remains a very big problem. This is a hostage-taking for political reasons, of those forces that wanted to equate two incomparable things: the ethnic violence of a completely fascist war machine and the liberation war of a popular mobilization. There is something else even more serious. If those four are going to be buried alive for the war and what happened, then Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, the prime ministers of the countries that gave the green light to the bombings should be arrested. What is happening is very serious and about what is happening, we need to talk and write books but above all we need to find a way to act. I don't have the answer but together our two countries can find the answer. Let's try everything" , said Rama. /CNA
