EXCLUSIVE/ Rama dismisses the government

Prime Minister Edi Rama, after the recent decision without a ruling by the Constitutional Court, although he stated that there is no rush to replace Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, seems to have made some changes to the government.

The correct term would be a 'shuffle'. Five months after announcing his government on September 11, 2025, with many surprises and new names, Prime Minister Edi Rama is preparing his new government, 'Rama' 4, 5, 6, the number does not matter, because for 13 years Edi Rama has continued to be the Prime Minister of Albania and his changes in government have been frequent.

CNA has learned from official sources that the government moves are expected to be in some of the most important ministries.

Firstly, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, which, according to official sources provided by CNA, is expected to be divided into two institutions, i.e. into two different ministries: Infrastructure and Energy will no longer be together.

Changes are expected, according to the same sources, also in the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior and several other ministries, from which Prime Minister Edi Rama had high expectations with the appointments made five months ago, but which apparently have not been fulfilled.

The changes are expected soon and Prime Minister Rama is expected to make his move at a meeting of the Socialist Party Assembly, which, although not yet announced, is expected to be held soon./ CNA
