SP/Manja meets: The circle of subjects against whom suspension from duty cannot

The Chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs, Ulsi Manja, presented the legal initiative for amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code at the meeting of the Socialist Party parliamentary group. According to Manja, the circle of subjects against whom suspension from office cannot be imposed should be expanded.

"I will present the initiative as a proposing MP together with the Prime Minister and the chairman of the parliamentary group.

Before I explain what this goal proposal is, allow me to introduce the initiative.

It concerns the prohibitive measures provided for in the Criminal Procedure Code, in point 1 of Article 242, the court's competence in determining the prohibitive measure is suspension from duty and prohibition of an activity.

We propose that in point 2, the circle of subjects against whom suspension from duty cannot be imposed be added.

This subject is supplemented by the president, the Ombudsman, the prime minister, the deputy prime minister, the ministers, members of the Constitutional Court and the chairman of the Supreme Audit Office.

"Additionally, 7 other entities are added. They are institutions that stem from the constitution that constitute the main pillars of the rule of law, the foundations of the democratic state," said Manja./ CNA
