Date published/Here's when the new parliamentary session starts

The new parliamentary session of the Albanian Parliament will begin on January 19.

As announced in a statement, in this context, the President of the Assembly has issued the relevant orders for the organization and development of parliamentary activity, and more specifically:

By Order No. 1, dated 12.01.2026, the President of the Assembly has convened a meeting of the Conference of Speakers on 19 January 2026, at 11:00, at the Presidency of the Assembly.

The agenda includes the review and approval of the draft program and draft calendar of the Assembly's work, as well as the draft calendar for exercising parliamentary control, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Rules of Procedure.

By Order No. 2, dated 12.01.2026, the Assembly was convened in plenary session on 19 January 2026, at 17:00.

The plenary session will mark the opening of Session II of the XI Legislature and will be held with a procedural agenda, which includes the approval of the minutes of the previous session as well as announcements, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly./ CNA
