Berisha's 10-day suspension from Parliament/Këlliçi: The

DP MP Belind Këlliçi has called the Ethics Commission's decision to expel DP leader Sali Berisha shameful.

In a television interview, Këlliçi said that, in 34 years of pluralism, no disciplinary measure has been taken for a statement made outside the chamber or parliamentary committees.

"A shameful meeting of the Ethics Committee decided to expel the leader of the opposition for a statement made outside the premises of Parliament. In 34 years of pluralism, it has never happened that a disciplinary measure has been taken for a statement made outside the chamber or parliamentary committees."

"Mr. Berisha has been expelled for a statement in which he respected all human freedoms and dignity, even that of the ambassador himself. This decision was orchestrated by Taulant Balla and the SP parliamentary group, who seek to disrupt Thursday's session and throw parliamentary life into chaos again," Këlliçi added.

Këlliçi further emphasized that this is another fact that shows that the majority has complete control over parliamentary institutions and that it is trying to silence the opposition./ CNA
