"One of the best defensive walls"/ Rama: We face a cyberattack every 3

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech at the NATO Cyber ??Defense Summit, where he did not spare jokes with the attendees.

Focusing on cybersecurity, Rama said that Albania has one of the best defensive walls among NATO member countries.

The Prime Minister stated that on average, a cyber attack occurs every 3 minutes, but they are repelled. These attacks, Rama said, are identified by Artificial Intelligence at a very early stage.

The Prime Minister then focused on the private sector, saying that there is still work to be done, but cyberattacks are real and what can happen is real.

 

At the end of his speech, Rama said that he is the only one in the government without a doctorate and is simply an artist.

“ I’m supposed to talk at length, but I’ll try to be brief and because it’s not something I have a virtue. You need a little time to enjoy the city a little. Governments take credit or blame for what they do, but they never take any credit for what they prevent from happening. We found ourselves in the middle of a difficult cyber attack that targeted our pride, our digital infrastructure. We survived that and I’m very proud to say that we have one of the best cyber defense walls among NATO countries. Today we face an average of one cyber attack every 3 minutes, but we manage to repel them completely. It’s the AI ??inside this cyber wall that works 24/7 to detect at a very early stage the potential for harmful attacks. We need to do much more to involve the private sector and make them understand that, like death, cyber attack is real and the damage it can do is real.
