Democratic MP Xhelal Mziu said today that the means of violence used by the Albanian government against the opposition resemble only those of the regime in Iran.

In the A2 CNN studio, Mziu said that the opposition will continue with the national protests, with a trend that aims to be unstoppable.

"It has never happened in any country in the world that tear gas is thrown inside the headquarters of the Democratic Party, it is thrown inside the largest mosque in Albania, filled with believers, it has never happened that you go with your hands in your pockets in front of the Parliament and all means of violence are used. You were witnesses yourself that one of our colleagues (Luciano Boçi) was sent to the hospital with a burn on his hand. There is a behavior that can only be compared to the Iranian regime. The next protest will be very soon, but the important thing is that the trend is unstoppable, and it can even go on to be even longer and more frequent", said the MP./ CNA
