"They rejected him in Washington"/ Berisha: Rama requested meetings

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during a conversation with citizens, was asked what he thinks about Prime Minister Edi Rama's visit to Washington.

Berisha said that Rama had requested several meetings with senior US officials but, according to him, they were refused.

"I expressed that I have the same opinion as those Albanians who saw that conference themselves. I can say one thing that he does not say, but hides, but not one, but several meetings have been refused. That's all I can inform the Albanians. So, they have been refused.

"So, it's not that he didn't request meetings, because it was a conference, of course Albania would be represented on the board, but the meetings requested by Ramaduro were rejected by very senior US officials. And I thank them for their stance ," Berisha said. /CNA
