Government meeting/ Demo: We approved the priority areas for the Mountain

Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, spoke to reporters after today's government meeting. Demo announced that priority areas for 8 municipalities for the Mountain Package were approved during today's meeting.

"Today we have approved priority areas for 8 municipalities for the Mountain Package, which are now ready to continue with the procedures for the requests that residents have for the benefits that come from the Mountain Package. The 45-day deadlines are being met and then we will have the approval of the municipalities for the successful applications. We will then continue with the priority areas for the remaining municipalities ," said Demo.

The Minister also spoke further about the Territorial Reform, stating that the majority is open to a reform that includes all parties.

" I believe that the Special Commission will also begin meetings and the first guests in the commission between them and me. I will address what has happened with the reform. I believe that what is important is the need to address what has happened in recent years and to have stronger municipalities tomorrow. From the moment it is established, it is up to the commission to decide its work. This is a parliamentary reform but it also requires the executive. I am confident that the work of the commission will move forward. The majority has the responsibility to offer solutions and to advance the reform. We are open to it being a reform that includes all parties ", the minister said. /CNA
