Manastirliu in the race for Tirana/ Who is the socialist who takes her seat in the Assembly?

The Socialist Party today made official the names with which it will compete in the local by-elections to be held on November 9 in the municipalities of Tirana, Mati, Tepelena, Berat, Vlora and Cerrik.

In the race for the largest municipality in the country, the Socialist Party has chosen the name of Ogerta Manastirliu as its candidate against the opposition. As a result, she is resigning from parliament and her mandate as an MP is passed to Blerina Gjylameti.

After the parliamentary elections of May 11, the latter remained outside the Assembly as she was on the open list of the SP for Tirana. Gjylameti was in a confrontation with Olta Xhaçka, who received more preferential votes, thus securing a seat in the Assembly./CNA
