Democratic Party member Grigels Muçollari has reacted to the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja yesterday.
Through a post on social media, Muçollari writes that when violence occurs where the law should reign, it is a sign that the state cannot even protect itself.
Further, the democrat says that instead of holding responsibilities and reflecting, there are only excuses and propaganda.
Muçollari says that the language used by Rama towards justice fuels hostilities that erupt into violence.
" Who will protect us now?"
There are times when an event is no longer simply a tragedy, it is a reflection of a state that has lost its sense of responsibility.
When violence occurs where the law should reign, it is not just a crime: it is a sign that the state is no longer even protecting itself.
Instead of reflection, we hear excuses. Instead of responsibility, propaganda.
The Prime Minister talks about toughening laws, while attacking justice to hide his own failures, and, with this language, fuels the hostility that one day erupts into violence.
But we are not innocent either. We remain silent. We get angry for a while, and then we forget, in a way we have lost the morality of a just society.
Thus, injustice becomes part of everyday life.
If this event does not wake us up, then it is no longer justice that has fallen, but the concept of justice, it is we who have fallen.
"My sincere condolences to the family of Judge Astrit Kalaja ," writes Muçollari./CNA
