One of the DP's rumored names for Tirana Municipality, Florian Haçkaj, commented today regarding this development by the opposition.

Invited to A2CNN, Haçkaj said he is appreciated for the consideration, but there is nothing official yet.  

Haçkaj expressed his willingness to run for office, while adding that he also has his own priorities for Tirana.

"There is still nothing official from the Democratic Party. I am honored and feel appreciated by the proposal. I have always had my points for Tirana in my head, it has nothing to do with the proposal I have received now. Maybe precisely because of this, because I have always been someone who has stood up against injustices in Tirana.

I have the readiness, as well as the self-confidence that Edi Rama can. My name has been proposed both by allies and by the DP directly. I have always been ready and will be for the good of the country, if there is a possibility for me to do something.

I think that we make Albania, and when I say we, I mean everyone who has the opportunity to do something. We should not fall prey to the idea that "we can't win with these people". We should always stand up for the better", said Haçkaj. /CNA
