"DP has 3 alternatives"/ Këlliçi: Option, coming up with

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi said today that the DP has 3 alternatives for how it will enter the November 9 elections.

In a television appearance, Këlliçi stated that one of the options is to run with an independent candidacy from the ranks of academia, business, or civil society.

Këlliçi added that alternatives will be discussed tomorrow at the meeting with the Presidency because, according to him, these elections are more than a political battle.

"The Democratic Party has 3 alternatives on how it can enter the elections. It can enter with its own strong political candidacy, I guarantee you that there are several political personalities in the DP, but I cannot mention them because I am part of the selection team, they are ladies who have led political actions and have been with me.

We have the second option that we can come up with a candidacy on behalf of the DP that comes from the ranks of academia, business or civil society that is attached to the DP. But with the aim of maximizing votes and creating a broader opposition front against Manastirliu that we consider very weak, we also have the third alternative that we do not come out as the DP but come out as a unified front as a coalition.

"The idea that we will discuss tomorrow at the leadership meeting has also been put forward, to come up with an independent candidacy supported by all opposition parties to give the message that the DP is looking beyond itself to give Tirana the opportunity to find a good manager.
