Opposition names in local elections/ Këlliçi: Berisha will call the

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi was invited to the "Task Force" show on Syri TV, where he spoke about the local by-elections. Këlliçi said that in Albania, the majority has violated every election standard.

The Democrat called the decree for these elections unconstitutional, while regarding a boycott, he stated that the DP has seen its consequences once.

Këlliçi declared that Sali Berisha will convene the highest forums of the party within 2 or 3 days.

Regarding the opposition names that have been floated in recent days as possible candidates, Këlliçi stated that it is a mechanism by the majority to divert attention from the farce.

" We still continue to treat the situation as if we are in a normal country and we have a state of law. This majority has brought us to this situation. We have violated every election standard. There are two very strong approaches to this situation. We all agree that it is an unconstitutional act.

We are facing a very big question, what will the DP do in this situation. The boycott is a situation that we have seen, we have seen its consequences. It is an unprecedented case, so we have to treat it with a previous precedent to understand the consequences.

"Berisha will convene the highest forums of the Democratic Party within 2 or 3 days. The attention to the names of the opposition is a mechanism of the majority to divert attention from the farce. We will enter a battle that knows where it is destined to go ," said Këlliçi./CNA
