"The 2026 budget, the highest for the sector"/ Rama meets with farmers

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting today with farmers and entrepreneurs in the Agriculture sector, for the 2026 budget.

During his speech, Rama stated that the 2026 budget for agriculture is much higher than this year's budget that we are leaving behind. He said that this is one of the data that shows the transformation made in these years.

"We have reversed the ratio of exports to imports, continuing to move towards a downward trend. It is important that today we have a budget for 2026, not only higher but much higher compared to this year's budget. In the national scheme alone, we are moving with a budget twice as large as this year's budget.

Regarding the direct scheme, all payments will be closed within this year 100%. These are data on the transformation made in these years. Today we are interested in what we need to do in the years to come. Agriculture needs this partnership with the government, local government to be able to face its challenges.  

"If we put the knowledge gained from you, together with the knowledge of a hearth that will be increasingly important, into the function of policies, we will do more in the 4 years ahead than we have done in these years ," said Rama. /CNA
