Alimehmeti refuses to run for Tirana?/ "I'm for long-term projects,

Ilir Alimehmeti does not seem optimistic about being a candidate for the Tirana Municipality race.

Asked on a television broadcast if he would run for the Municipality of Tirana, Alimehmeti said: "I am a group player and I am a player for a program and a platform that can be implemented that takes its time and I believe in long-term political projects, not short-term and momentary political projects."

In this way, he implied that he might refuse to run against Manastirliu.

He claimed that the opposition still does not have a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.

"There is some delay from the DP, it should have been worked on since on February 10 it was clear that the day would come. We have two working groups, one that worked to dismantle Veliaj with documents, with international partners, with 44 protests, another aspect should have been the preparation to go and compete with whoever would come from the SP later," said Alimehmeti.

According to Alimehmet, the SP has chosen one of the weakest candidates.
