DP MP Belind Këlliçi spoke about the Municipal Council meeting expected to be held tomorrow as well as Veliaj's reaction.

Invited to A2cnn, Këlliçio described the reaction of Veliaj's lawyers as ridiculous and mediocre, just like the arrested mayor of Tirana.

"The reaction of Veliaj's lawyers was ridiculous. Mediocre level, just like the mayor of Tirana himself. When we talk about a democratically elected mayor, while half of his electoral headquarters is in prison and half is being prosecuted. That is, it is in continuation of their clear attempt not to mention the person and the real reasons why these things are happening," said Këlliçi.

Further, the MP emphasized that Veliaj's political end is clear, as Edi Rama himself has determined it.

"They have it very clear, they are tiring themselves in vain with these letters. Erion Veliaj's final political fate has been determined by the head of the organization himself, Edi Rama. They have procedures to present them later in Strasbourg, but they will be useless, because with the mountain of accusations that Veliaj carries on his back, even the best lawyers in the world cannot defend him.

"These are issues that belong to the criminal organization led by Edi Rama. I am clear about this story and its political end. The scoundrel who was forcibly brought into the Tirana municipality is today a resident of the Durrës prison," said Këlliçi./ CNA
