Economics expert Brisida Shehaj, through a post on social networks, reacted to Behgjet Pacolli's statements regarding Vlora airport.

Shehaj writes that Vlora airport is a strategic asset, part of the national security of a country that is part of NATO.

The expert says that Pacolli has entered this project to win, but he should spare the pathos.

Further, Shehaj says that Pacolli should not deal with conspiracy statements, but rather clarify the March 26, 2025 contract with Delphos Securities.

A company that Shehaj writes about is offshore with a suspected ultimate owner from a non-partner country.

For several days now, extremely serious facts have been published in the media regarding the Vlora Airport concession.

Yesterday, Behgjet Pacolli reacted by claiming that behind these publications was a "coordinated conspiracy in Albania" against him, while adding that Vlora Airport, in which he had invested "hundreds of millions of euros", was an initiative to "leave a legacy", although according to him the investment "would hardly be recovered".

According to the data in the filed Business Plan, Vlora Airport, over a period of 35 years, expects to bring Pacolli and his partners 734 million euros in profits, with a total investment of around 104 million euros, of which 53 million are loans.

So, the investment has nothing to do with "heritage" or "love for Albanianness". Pacolli is a businessman who has entered this project to win and NOT A LITTLE. And so far there is nothing wrong, as long as everything is transparent. But spare us the pathos. Mathematics is not opinion, much less poetry.

Let's return to the "CONSPIRACY" theory, as Pacolli calls it. The story that is coming to light with facts is much more than that and, what is more serious, is being treated as a case of "corruption", in a country where no one is surprised by this word anymore.

But be careful! The crux of the matter is not simply corruption.

Vlora Airport is a strategic asset, part of the national security of a NATO member country.

And in this context, the contract dated March 26, 2025, signed between MABCO Construction SA and Delphos Securities SARL, the latter an offshore company with a suspected ultimate owner from a non-partner country, attracts attention.

The contract provides for a loan of 100 million euros, with the aim of financing the construction of the Vlora airport. But here comes the ABSURDITY: on May 8, 2025, the airport was officially inaugurated. Why, then, was this loan taken out after the completion of construction?

If this atypical loan contract gives the offshore company full control over the 98% shareholder and over the airport's finances, and is not intended to build it, then why does it exist? Why was this loan taken from Pacolli when the investment was completed???

And here, at this point, we should all stop.

Because it is no longer just about the interests of Albanians harmed by a corruption affair, but about the strategic interests of our allies and domestic and international security.

Let us remember that Vlora Airport is located only 25 minutes away from Kuçova air base.

And I'll stop there.

As for the "conspiracy" against Pacolli, it would be good if he did not deal with statuses about flies, bees, acorns and honey, but publicly clarified the contract of March 26, 2025 with Delphos Securities.

And above all, to speak with names and surnames: who is hiding behind this "conspiracy"?

Why were the share purchase contracts with both the Turkish party and 2A Group not deposited with the Central Bank on time?

Let him also talk about the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, because only in this way would he truly serve the legacy he claims and Albania, the country that has given him and continues to give him many benefits with this concession.

This would expose the real CONSPIRACY.
