I'm not a leftist, but I remember an expression by Antonio Gramsci: "The old world is dying and the new one is fighting to be born, we live in the age of monsters!"

The political situation today in Albania is surprisingly absurd. At the same time when dissatisfaction with the government is visible and expressed in all possible ways, such as rampant corruption, high prices, poverty, unemployment, depopulation, medicine and education that are on the ground, the inability of the government to afford and invest in a dignified society and economic well-being of the people, not even the opposition is able to get stronger.

On the one hand is the Re-establishment, which is hooked on the myth of the leader, on the myth of the inviolable, the infallible, the super honest, and is unable to face the truth and unable to understand that it is going speeding towards contraction and destruction with the revolution, which cannot be ignited. It is heading towards destruction with the promise of victory, who are nothing but chronic losers and permanent economic and political beneficiaries in these 32 years.

It is headed for destruction with the declaration of war against the New and independent Justice, strongly supported by the EU and the USA. It is headed for destruction with antiquated rhetoric and equally antiquated methods, which no longer appeal to anyone with a modicum of political analysis and inexhaustible sources of information.

And this is tragic!

Because, regardless of the theater in the Assembly with flaming and smoking, ostensibly in defense of democracy and pluralism, or the constant calls of popular protests, the support keeps shrinking.

Because they promised the democrats the overthrow of Rama and victory, but the only victory so far is the destruction of the Democratic Party, bringing the democrats into conflict with each other, creating enmities between friends and friends. This was the victory, the enmity and the scorn of the democrats with the motto that whoever is not with them is an enemy and sold to the "enemy!"...

Because the leaders of the Forum and some other crustaceans, who join them on the road and play kukamfshehti, I'm-I'm not, they can't take political and civic responsibility, because they've always only been taught to bargain, to crawl to survive and are catapulted to be in leadership positions with economic benefits.

On the other hand, even the official PD, with the slowness that characterizes it, is not gaining enough ground among the people to assume the role of the political opposition. He faces accusations, insults and anathemas as being sold to Rama, but the reaction is very weak, which makes the words take place in the electorate.

And Albanian politics is in crisis. An antiquated opposition in people, mentality, production of ideas and policies, which makes Edi Rama look young!
A crisis that proves to be deep and existential and from which they will hardly come out and rise again, if they do not make radical, deep and essential changes, which they are hardly ready to do.

And all this seems to have a result: the Government seems all-powerful and not in danger of falling from power for a long time!

And all this destroys the illusions that if there is dissatisfaction, then the opposition is strengthened and thus the strategy of the "ripe fruit" of the opposition, i.e. automatically coming to power even without political products, not learning from the experiences and not understanding anything, is refuted. from the 2021 elections!

It is proven that if the opposition will gain something from the dissatisfaction with the government, it is that the first, that is, the opposition, has something to say!
Only in this way can the frustration and fatigue with the government work positively for the opposition.

That is, when you don't just express your dissatisfaction, but there is also an alternative power solution!

Of course, this is missing from the opposition, because the latter, fragmented as it is and unable to produce policy, is investing in the logic of "protest parties!".

But such parties can rarely have governing power. Because such parties simply limit themselves to findings and denunciations, without providing solutions and alternatives, thus not inspiring people to follow them and vote and fight for the vision they may have.

Today, investing in "protest parties" is out of fashion, as they have neither popular support nor coordination of protests with an inspiring ideology.

For this very reason, the visible discontent cannot find a way out towards the opposition!

For this reason, the crisis of the opposition today is deeply political as well as social.
Because we have reached a state where dissatisfied people cannot find a way or political force to express themselves and represent them.
And this will have consequences for democracy itself.
Because societies or countries, in which more than half of the electorate votes, are unstable societies, politically illiterate, fearful, increasingly unjust, increasingly cynical!

Therefore opposition is required! And urgently! The opposition is required to make and produce politics and hope and not stunts. Because as long as there is no opposition or stunt opposition, we will see discontent increase and, at the same time, the government will be strengthened.
