The "Constitutionalist", or the "4 x 4" that pulled Edi Rama

If the coal doesn't burn, it blackens you - people say. Albanian politics is like that. It even burns and blackens you at the same time. Last night, Edi Rama both burned and blackened the Constitutional Court. Not that this was a little white before, but it was quietly hidden.

While last night....

Last night, the "Constitutionalists" behaved like politicians. The pragmatism of their (non)decision surpasses even Pontius Pilate. They roasted the meat without burning the skewer. They even left the GJKKO decision in force, and they also removed the burden from Edi Rama. Beautiful in terms of evil and benefits, but an irreversible catastrophe for the dignity of the institution!

4 by 4 in the GJK result translates to NUL, zero. Or in the language of sports betting - X ( iks ). It means 4 by 4 = 5 by 5 = 0 by 0! The result yesterday was 0 by 0. Or zero institution. The result of a long day of "sticking" of the constitutional cadres came to the conclusion that we ARE NOT. And since we ARE NOT, continue as you please.

Personally, I would have accepted even a decision that I would not have liked, but which from a legal point of view had been sewn with golden threads of the brightest thought and expertise of the top Albanian judiciary! I would much more readily accept a mistake by a dignified institution than a cunning pragmatic solution by a sleazy office, a power broker.

So don't be happy, oh happy! Maybe you won a lawsuit against someone the public hates, but you lost another limb of the state.

One last explanation for the image of the "4×4" that pulls the prime minister out of the mud:

It's not simply a matter of Pontius Pilate (Rama the First!) washing his hands and throwing Balluku to the courts. The point is that, if a "4×4" decision had been made - that SPAK or GJKKO have the right to take legal action against a member of the government in office, when it comes to the prime minister's turn, there is no obstacle holding them back or delaying them.

While this is the case, Rama once again has the right to address the constitutional cadres, who have not spoken out but have hidden! They have hidden in a 4 by 4, which, I emphasize: HAS NULLIFIED THIS INSTITUTION. /CNA
