Famous American actor Tom Cruise was awarded a Guinness World Record for his fiery parachute stunt in "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning."
In the act, Cruise jumps out of a helicopter and opens a parachute, then sets it on fire. The parachute was pre-soaked with fuel and ignited, Guinness World Records said in a press release.
Cruise had to jump from at least 25,000 feet. The fiery parachute could only burn for about three seconds before Cruise had to cut it off and open a backup chute. And sometimes, he did so while carrying a 50-pound camera.
Cruise performed the act not once, not twice, but 16 times, Guinness World Records said, making him the record holder for "most skydives burned by one individual . "/CNA
