Albanian Toast is declared a National Cultural Heritage Property

The Albanian Toast Rite has been declared a National Cultural Heritage Asset today.

This act of appreciation is done for the toast as an ancient tradition of Albanian hospitality.

Albanian hospitality is unique and contains many customary elements, one of which is the tradition associated with the table. The laid table must definitely have glasses of drink, which is produced by the host of the house or is a local drink made from fermenting fruit.  

Toasting can be called a unique, traditional, ancient, as well as modern rite in Albania.

The essence of raising a toast is to elevate friends, guests, or visitors to Albanian tables.

A toast is the culmination of hospitality, joy, and happiness, aimed at the spiritual upliftment of both parties, the host and the guests, at an event, banquet, wedding, ceremonial, or any other celebration./ CNA
