"The Gambler"/ Seventh edition by journalist and writer Xhovan Shyti

"The Gambler", this is the title of the seventh publication by journalist and writer Xhovan Shyti.

Invited to an interview with CNA TV, Shyti revealed part of the novel's content, which reflects Albanian reality, and spoke about future plans for new publications.

"The titles of my books reflect the content. They are a preface to the content of their subject. It has a meaning because the central character of the novel 'plays' with fate. He is one of those types who elevates life above fate, they are not active, they are passive. The character had left himself in the hands of fate", - says the author.

Shyti also revealed details from the preparatory work for this novel.

"I realized everything there, myself. They all have a meaning, even the hand with dice, even the title. They are part of the content. The dice are the dice of fate that the unfortunate man who had built his life on dice throws and then gets a double-six. He gets one day, but what happened to his life?", said the writer.

While also talking about creativity over the years, writer Xhovan Shyti also had a message for all Albanian readers.

"The desire of the reader has faded, especially of the younger generation, they call it 'havale'. The problem is that even people in their 40s prefer to listen to the book, to put on headphones. The book keeps you alive, activates and reactivates the soul and brain. Youth should not abandon the book", - the writer said. /CNA
