The concert of Croatian musicians in Tirana and Shkodra amazed the audience

Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Albania, in cooperation with the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durrës and the Archdiocese of Shkodër-Pult, sacred music concerts were held last weekend.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the concert took place at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Tirana, while a day later, on Sunday, June 29, the same program was performed at the Cathedral of Saint Stephen in Shkodra.

The concerts featured prominent Croatian musicians Elizabeta Zalovi? (organ) and An?elko Krpan (violin), presenting a carefully selected program – from Handel to Croatian composers Sorko?evi?, Šulek, Klobu?ar, Leš?an and Uhlik.

The musical works were performed with an extraordinary sensitivity to sacred space, and the impressions of those present – ??locals, diplomats, and ecclesiastical officials – testify to the high artistic and spiritual value of the concert.

Addressing the audience, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Albania, prof. dr. sc. Zlatko Kramari?, emphasized: “Tonight we hear two extraordinary Croatian musicians not as guests, but as a bridge between two cultures: Croatian and Albanian, between the two shores of the Adriatic, between two traditions that understand each other miraculously, even if they do not speak the same language.”

This cultural activity marked the 12th anniversary of the Republic of Croatia's membership in the European Union as well as the 1100th anniversary of the Croatian Kingdom./ CNA
