He killed the 82-year-old man with a knife and hammer, for weak motives, hid the tools of the crime and locked the door of the victim's apartment from the outside with a key, after several hours of investigative and professional work in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the Police clarified the incident, identified the perpetrator of the murder and declared him wanted.

Also, it became possible to find and seize the tools of crime and the clothes that the author had when he committed the crime.

Intensive work continues for the capture of the 39-year-old (neighbor of the victim).

The services of the Durrës Police Station, around 6:50 p.m. on 30.12.2024, received a notification that an 82-year-old man was found dead in the apartment, suspected to have been injured with a cutting tool, in neighborhood no. 13, Durrës.

Immediately, the Police services, the investigation group, the specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, the Director of the DVP Durrës went to the scene, and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, they continued the investigative actions to clarify the circumstances and identify the perpetrator.

From the examination of the body of the 82-year-old PG, the forensic expert concluded that there were numerous injuries caused by cutting tools and hard objects.

After an intensive investigative and professional work, it became possible to unravel the incident, identify and announce the search for the suspected author, citizen FJ, 39 years old, resident in neighborhood no. 13, neighbor of the 82-year-old.

Following the actions, during the inspection of the apartment of the suspected perpetrator, the Police found and seized as material evidence 2 knives, 1 hammer and the clothes that the perpetrator is suspected to have had during the commission of the crime.

The cutting tool, the hammer and the clothing with blood stains have been sent to the Scientific Police Institute for further examination.
