The murder and disappearance of the receptionist of a hotel in Dhërmi has shocked the country.

The 31-year-old with the initials EN is suspected to have been shot with a firearm, just 30 minutes after midnight on Wednesday, by the citizen G. Sh.

The police announced that the author had fled to Greece, while this afternoon it was possible to capture him at one of the airports of the neighboring country.

After the arrest of the suspected author, the reaction of the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, was immediate.

The latter pointed out the performance of the police not only for its quick clarification, but also for the cooperation with the Greek authorities.

"Clarifying criminal events as quickly as possible, finding and arresting persons suspected of being perpetrators or involved in these events, are an important test of the police's performance. Congratulations to the State Police for the investigations so far related to a criminal event in Dhërmi, the arrest of a suspect at an airport in a neighboring country. We will work with the authorities and law-enforcement agencies of this country to bring the suspect to justice as soon as possible", writes the minister on social networks./ CNA
