Caught selling cannabis to a minor/ 53-year-old man arrested in Tirana

A 53-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana as part of the "Perimeter" police operation. He was caught red-handed selling doses of cannabis to a minor near a school.

Citizen B.Ç. was placed in handcuffs, while the 15-year-old was placed under investigation.

Police announcement: 

Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Perimeter" is finalized. A case of drug sales near schools is cracked.  

The 53-year-old was caught red-handed selling cannabis to a minor citizen, and was arrested.

The minor citizen is under investigation. 

Suspected narcotics, cannabis, and 1 cell phone were seized. 

The Narcotics Investigation Section, after obtaining information that a citizen was selling cannabis near a high school, organized the police operation codenamed "Perimeter" to capture and bring him to justice. 

During the operation, the Police services caught citizen B. Ç. red-handed near the school, on "Ymer Kurti" street, selling doses of cannabis to a 15-year-old. 

During the physical search of the 53-year-old man and the search of his apartment, the Police found a quantity of suspected cannabis, some of which was divided into doses, ready for sale. 

At the conclusion of the actions in the case, citizen B. Ç., 53 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested, while a minor citizen was placed under investigation.  

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, for further action. /CNA
