A shooting took place today at the Rinas roundabout. Gilmando Dani was shot with a barrage of bullets while driving his “Benz” vehicle. Dani died at the scene, while the person in the vehicle with him, Muçi Shaljani, an AMP agent, was seriously injured. Shaljani is in critical condition at the Trauma Hospital, after receiving a bullet in the head.

The shooting, which allegedly lasted 30 seconds, terrorized many residents and citizens in the area near Rinas airport. According to reports, the bullets did not spare nearby businesses either. The facade and windows of a hotel were damaged by the shooting, but fortunately there were no injuries inside.

The perpetrators of the crime are still unknown, while so far only the vehicle suspected of being used by them has been found burned. Police announced earlier that, inside the burned vehicle in the village of Halil in Kruja, 4 firearms were also found and sent for examination to the Scientific Police Institute. /CNA
