Anti-drug operation during the night in Korça/ 2 people arrested

The Korça Local Police Directorate has arrested two citizens and released another citizen.

Yesterday evening, based on information, the police arrested a 25-year-old man with the initials SD after a quantity of suspected cocaine was found on him, which he had divided into doses.

The 25-year-old was arrested in the village of Zëmblak and is suspected of having prepared the quantity of cocaine for sale.

During the police operation, a vehicle was also seized, in which the 20-year-old driver with the initials AT was found to be in possession of a significant amount of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa. At the time of the stop by the police, another citizen was also in the vehicle, who attempted to run away but was caught by the police services.

The narcotics were found inside the vehicle of the 20-year-old, who is also suspected of distributing the drugs. The 20-year-old was arrested while the other person who was in the car and tried to leave was released.

The action yesterday evening was finalized by the anti-drug sector at the Korça Police Department, while it is learned that searches were also carried out in apartments and the narcotics seized in both cases, as well as mobile phones, were seized. Investigations by the police and the prosecution continue.
