From Serbia to Albania/ Truck with 25 tons of corn blocked in Hani i Hotit

The AKU has blocked a truck with corn coming from Serbia. The blockage occurred at the Hani i Hoti Border Crossing Point because the presence of aflatoxin B above the permitted norms was found in the 25-ton corn load.

This level is above the permitted norms for Albania. According to sources, this norm is permissible for EU countries, but not in Albania because there are other norms.

The final destination was the city of Elbasan, and it is about livestock refuse corn.

The action is ongoing, while other quantities of corn are expected to be seized because procedures are being carried out at the Hani i Hoti customs.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the Shkodra AKU has also blocked a dairy farm in the village of Trush in the Shkodra municipality due to several irregularities found there./CNA
