A 21-year-old man has been arrested in Berat after he obtained cannabis and distributed it in his apartment for the purpose of selling. The citizen with the initials AK was put in handcuffs.

Meanwhile, it is reported that a 20-year-old man, KK, who was distributing the narcotics by car, has also been criminally prosecuted. The police seized as material evidence the narcotics found in the apartment and vehicle, and the cell phones of the two young men.

Police announcement:

Berat/As a result of an investigation using proactive methods, the police anti-drug operation, codenamed "Porcione", is finalized.

The 21-year-old was arrested for supplying the narcotic Cannabis Sativa and dividing it into doses in his apartment, with the intention of selling it.

The 20-year-old man who distributed the doses by vehicle is under investigation.

As a result of investigations conducted for several months, in coordination with the Berat Prosecutor's Office, with the objective of identifying and bringing to criminal responsibility citizens implicated in criminal activities in the field of narcotics, the services of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force and the services of the Special Operational Force, finalized the "Porcione" operation.

As part of the operation, citizen AK, 21 years old, was arrested, and citizen KK, 20 years old, both residents of Berat, was released on bail, after investigations revealed that the arrested man was obtaining quantities of Cannabis, which he divided into doses, in his apartment in the "30-Vjetori" neighborhood, and then giving it to the 20-year-old man, to distribute by vehicle.

The narcotics found in the apartment of citizen AK and in the vehicle driven by citizen KK, as well as the cell phones of these citizens, were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
