They were distributing narcotics and carrying weapons without a license/ Two

Berat police have cracked down on a case of drug distribution and illegal possession of weapons, resulting in the arrest of two people.

41-year-old KK was arrested, who had adapted his premises for the distribution and use of narcotics. A firearm was also discovered.

A 27-year-old man was also arrested for possessing narcotics in the apartment.  

The criminal activities were discovered following checks to identify the perpetrators of placing explosives in a business a few days ago.

Kuçovë/Firearms, ammunition and the narcotic cannabis are seized.

The police operation codenamed "Complex" is finalized.

The operation was carried out by the Kuçovë Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Narcotics Investigation Section and the Special Operational Force of the Berat Police Department.

He had adapted the premises for the distribution and use of narcotics, and was carrying an automatic firearm; the 41-year-old was arrested.

He was under house arrest for the criminal offenses of "Production and sale of narcotics" and "Irregular driving", as well as possessing narcotics in the apartment; the 27-year-old was placed in handcuffs.

Following the controls carried out to identify the perpetrator(s) of placing explosives in a business yesterday, as well as to crack down on criminal activities in the field of narcotics and illegal possession of weapons, following information received operationally, within the framework of Operation "Complex", the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:

KK, 41 years old, resident of the village of Drenovicë, Dimal;

KZ, 27 years old, resident of the village of Tapi, Kuçovë.

During the operation, the Police services conducted a search of the premises of the bar owned by the 41-year-old, where they found and seized:

1 automatic firearm, a quantity of the narcotic cannabis, 1 electronic scale, 30 live ammunition.

Subsequently, a search was conducted at the apartment of citizen KZ, who was under "house arrest" security measure, where another quantity of the narcotic substance cannabis was found and seized.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat, for further action.
