Gunshots in Tirana

The services of Police Station No. 2, after the notification received about gunshots in a festive environment on "Liman Kaba" street on 01.01.2025, in the early hours of the morning, immediately organized the work in order to identify the author and complete documentation of the event.

Following the intensive actions, the services of the Police Station No. 2, accompanied and questioned many citizens who gave their statements regarding the incident in the capacity of a person who knows about the incident.

As a result of the actions and the inspection of the cameras, it became possible to identify the citizen who had fired a firearm in the air. Because the investigation is ongoing, we do not disclose its generality. No one was injured in the incident.

Police Station No. 2, in cooperation with the District Prosecutor's Office, are working on the complete documentation of the event as well as on the capture and prosecution of the suspected perpetrator./ CNA
