In the Port of Durrës, the citizen Gj was arrested in the act. Gj., 30 years old, resident of Lezhë and has started the investigations in a free state for the citizen EK, 29 years old, resident of Laprakë.

From the controls in the second line, in the van driven by the 30-year-old man and which had an alternative driver, an EK citizen, 53,600 euros, 6 mobile phones and some clothes were found, which these citizens tried to bring into Albania, without declaring them in accordance with the laws in force.

Meanwhile, EQ, 43 years old, a resident of Tirana, is also under investigation, since during the second-line controls, in the "Volkswagen" type vehicle he was driving, 133 bottles of about 100 liters of wine were found, which this citizen tried to put in in Albania, without declaring compliance with the laws in force.

Notification: 

Port, Durrës/ 2 more cases of non-declaration of money and/or goods at the border crossing point were detected and punished.

53,600 euros, 133 bottles of wine, clothing and 6 mobile phones, which were found in 2 vehicles at the entrance to Albania, were seized.

1 citizen is arrested and 2 others, drivers of the vehicles where the money and goods were found, are prosecuted.

As a result of the entrance/exit controls of the Republic of Albania, carried out on citizens and the means by which they move, with the aim of preventing and combating illegalities at the border, the services of the Border Police of the port of Durrës, in cooperation with the specialists of the Authority Customs, recorded and struck 2 cases of non-declaration of money and/or goods at this border crossing point.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the EQ citizen, 43 years old, resident in Tirana, after the controls in the second line, in the "Volkswagen" type vehicle he was driving, 133 bottles with about 100 liters of wine, which this citizen tried to bring into Albania, without declaring compliance with the laws in force.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions./ CNA
