The State Police have cracked down on a case of organizing gambling at a bar in the capital.

As a result, the person who was using the premises, 24-year-old Xh. Xh., was arrested.

Following the actions, this citizen's mobile phone was seized, on which verifications revealed online betting sites.

Tirana/The operation codenamed "The Fate of Games" continues. Another place where sports bets were placed via mobile phone was discovered in Kombinat.

The citizen who was using the premises was arrested, and his cell phone was seized.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 6, during inspections in bars and other premises, carried out within the framework of the coded operation "Gambling", with the aim of identifying and cracking down on cases of adapting these premises for the illegal organization of gambling, found that in a bar in the "Kombinati" area, sports bets were being placed by mobile phone.

In this case, the citizen who was using the premises, Xh. Xh., 24 years old, was arrested.

From verifications on his mobile phone, active sports betting sites were found.

Controls against this activity continue throughout the territory of the district.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
