Wanted for attempted murder in Berat/ 46-year-old Albanian extradited from Spain

A 46-year-old citizen has been extradited from Spain, suspected of having, in collaboration with 3 other citizens, attempted to commit a murder in May 2023 in the city of Berat.

The person extradited within the framework of the "Objective" operation is citizen EG, residing in Tirana.

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Berat has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offenses of "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed in collaboration.

As a result of the coordination of actions between Interpol Tirana specialists and Interpol Madrid counterparts, the procedure for the extradition from Spain to Albania of the internationally wanted Albanian citizen, EG, 46 years old, resident of Tirana, was finalized, within the framework of the "The Wanted" operation.

This citizen is suspected of having, in May 2023, in collaboration with 3 other citizens, attempted to kill 1 citizen.

The criminal incident was prevented as a result of the intervention of the Berat Police, as part of the "Objective" operation.

The procedural materials were passed to the Berat General Jurisdiction Prosecutor 's Office for further action./CNA
