'Rrugore' action in Tirana/ Around 3 thousand fines for incorrect

Tirana Traffic Police have conducted numerous checks over the last 48 hours throughout the capital, with a special focus on drivers who do not respect traffic queues and perform dangerous overtaking.

As a result of the checks, the Traffic Police has taken the following measures:

-has towed 17 vehicles, due to lack of documentation, illegal modifications or irregular parking that obstructed traffic;

- found 37 drivers under the influence of alcohol, who posed a direct risk to public safety and were punished according to legal procedure;

 -has imposed 2758 administrative measures for illegal parking, a widespread phenomenon that continues to create difficulties in daily traffic;

 -has prosecuted 11 citizens for various criminal offenses in the field of road traffic.

The Traffic Police appeal to drivers to show maximum responsibility, to respect traffic rules and road signs, and to avoid any behavior that jeopardizes their safety and that of other road users, while guaranteeing that checks will continue with high intensity, on all axes of the capital./ CNA
