Murder of Edmond Mëhalla / Two accused remain in prison

The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for the two detainees, Xh.A and KP, involved in the murder of businessman Edmond Mëhalla. The decision was made by the president of the court, Elis Dine, after a session held behind closed doors and under tight security measures.

The Elbasan Prosecution, through prosecutor Gjergji Ceka, had requested the imposition of a measure for the two detainees, arguing the need for immediate arrest and securing the process.

Meanwhile, for the third arrestee, NS, detained in Prrenjas and suspected of being the businessman's executioner, the Prosecution has filed a separate request for the assignment of a security measure. The hearing for him is expected to take place over the weekend./ CNA
