Lost his tracks during holidays in Spain/ The British teenager is found after 6

On Wednesday morning, a minor boy was found, who disappeared 6 years ago in Spain.

17-year-old British boy Alex Batty from Oldham disappeared in Spain in 2017 while on holiday with his mother and grandfather.

The latter did not have custody of the minor, but on September 30, 2017, they had left with Alex from Greater Manchester, Great Britain, to Spain.

Only a few days later, all traces of the boy disappeared. He was last seen in the Port of Malaga on October 8, the day he was expected to return to Britain.

6 years later, Alex Batty has been found in the French town of Revel. The prosecutor's office in Toulouse told "BBC" that the family had confirmed the identity of the boy, now a teenager.

Alex is being looked after by social services, awaiting the arrival of British police and consular staff to take him back to England.

The boy stated that he had been in France for two years. He was in good health and did not report any ill-treatment.

His grandmother, Susan Caruana, who is also the legal guardian, stated in 2018 that Alex's mother and grandfather had taken the minor to live in Morocco.
