Crackdown on crime and drugs/ SPAK provides details on the operation

SPAK has carried out a massive anti-drug operation, targeting drug trafficking activity outside Albania.

The Special Prosecution Office has issued several arrest warrants signed by prosecutor Alfred Shehu, including for businessman Jetmir Pepa (Marashi), known as the owner of the Pepa Group company.

SPAK has reacted regarding the latest operation against journalists.

The Special Prosecution Office has revealed that the operation was carried out in cooperation with the State Police.

The operation was carried out as part of investigations into a criminal proceeding related to organized crime, drug trafficking and laundering of the proceeds of crime.

"In response to your requests, we inform you as follows: SPAK, in cooperation with the State Police, is conducting an operation within the framework of investigations for a criminal proceeding related to organized crime, drug trafficking and laundering of the proceeds of crime. Further details will be made public in the future," the response states.
