Crackdown on narcotics cultivation/ 3679 cannabis seedlings destroyed in Shkodra

The police operation codenamed "Coordination" continues, to prevent, identify and crack down on attempts to cultivate narcotic plants.

3679 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa seedlings and plants are found and destroyed.

As a result of intensive controls throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", the services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the police stations under its jurisdiction have found and destroyed 265 seedlings and 3414 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants, specifically:

The services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found and destroyed 265 seedlings and 1,437 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants in the territory of the administrative units of Pult, Shala and Postriba.   

Following the actions in these cases, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated in absentia, for abuse of office and failure to report a crime, against the forestry engineer, citizen AM;  

The services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat found and destroyed 1977 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants in the territory of the administrative units of Shllak and Temal.

Work continues to identify, capture and bring to justice the perpetrators of these cultivation cases. /CNA
