Internationally wanted for robbery and attempted murder/ 33-year-old arrested

As part of Operation "The Wanted", another Albanian who was declared an international wanted person has been arrested.

More specifically, a 33-year-old wanted man from Italy has been arrested, accused of attempted murder, armed robbery and illegal possession of weapons.

The Naples court has sentenced 33-year-old EM to 8 years and 6 days in prison.

A 33-year-old man, sentenced to 8 years by the Court of Naples, for 'Armed Robbery', ''Attempted Murder'' and ''Unlicensed Possession of a Weapon'', is being arrested for extradition to Italy.

As a result of a well-organized operational work, carried out in coordination with Italian counterparts, after the exchange of information through the structures of Interpol Tirana, with Interpol Rome, the Section for the Investigation of Serious Crimes against the Person, in cooperation with the Money Laundering and Criminal Assets Section, following the operation "The Wanted", arrested with the aim of extradition to Italy, the Albanian citizen, declared internationally wanted, Erjon Mera, 33 years old.

The Naples Court of Appeal has sentenced the 33-year-old to 8 years and 6 days in prison for the criminal offenses of "Armed Robbery", "Attempted Murder" and "Unlicensed Possession of Weapons", as provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continues the procedure for the extradition of this citizen to Italy./ CNA
