19,739 narcotic plants found in Shkodër/ Two people prosecuted

Shkodra Police have found and destroyed 19,739 narcotic plant seedlings.

The narcotic plant was found in several administrative units.

Following the actions, the headman of the village of Kir, SH, was criminally prosecuted, accused of abuse of office.

The environmental guard was also prosecuted for abuse of office and failure to report a crime.

 

Police notification

Shkodra District/The police operation codenamed "Coordination" continues, to prevent, identify and crack down on attempts to cultivate narcotic plants.

19,739 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic seedlings and plants are found and destroyed.

As a result of intensive controls throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", based on police intelligence, the services of the Shkodra Local Police Directorate and the police stations under its jurisdiction have found and destroyed 1,094 seedlings and 18,645 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants, specifically:   

-The services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat found in the territory of the administrative units of Shala, Pult, Postribe and Gur i Zi, and destroyed 201 seedlings and 651 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants. Following the actions in these cases, proceedings were initiated in the absence of the mayor of the village of Kir, citizen SH, for abuse of office, and for the environmental guard, citizen LA, for abuse of office and for failure to report a crime;

-The services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat found, in the territory of the administrative units of Shllak and Temal, and destroyed 893 seedlings and 16,700 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants; 

-The services of the Puka Police Commissariat found and destroyed 1050 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants in the territory of the Qerret administrative unit; 

-The services of the Fushë Arrëz Police Station found and destroyed 174 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants in the territory of the Iball administrative unit; 

-The services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat found and destroyed 70 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic plants in the territory of the Shkrel administrative unit. 

Work continues to identify, capture, and bring to justice the perpetrators of these cultivation cases.
