A Latvian citizen was found dead this Thursday afternoon in Shkodër.

The victim with the initials LZ was found without signs of life by his Albanian friend ET in the latter's apartment, in the "Gjuhadol" neighborhood.

Like the Latvian, the Albanian is also resident in the United Kingdom, but had come to Shkodër for vacation.

The 52-year-old informed the police about his friend, whose body was sent to the morgue.

According to the Blues, it is suspected that the Latvian lost his life due to natural causes, however, investigations are continuing for the full disclosure of the incident.

"This afternoon, the citizen ET, 52 years old, resident in the United Kingdom, has informed the operating room of the Shkodra Police that in his apartment, in the neighborhood "Gjuhadol", he found his friend, the Latvian citizen LZ, dead. 38 years old, resident in the United Kingdom. From the investigative actions so far, it appears that the 38-year-old man, who came to Albania for tourist purposes, died of natural causes.

The investigative team is at the scene and is continuing its work to clarify the circumstances of the incident and to document the cause of the loss of life of the 38-year-old," said the police announcement./ CNA
