The former director of Fushë-Kruja prison is arrested/ His wife denounced

The Pogradec police arrested Durim Toska, the former director of the Fushë-Kruja prison, yesterday evening.

CNA learns that Toska's arrest came after a report made by Toska's wife to the police about violence.

As a result, the former director of the prison was put in handcuffs for domestic violence. He is also charged with possession of a weapon without a permit, as a firearm was also found in his apartment during the search.

We recall that yesterday the Ministry of Justice announced the dismissal of Toska from the post of director of Fushë-Kruja prison.

The dismissal was carried out by order of Minister Ulsi Manja.

"Announcement regarding the dismissal of the Director of the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Offenses in Fushë-Kruje!

Minister of Justice, Mr. Ulsi Manja has taken this step, following the proposal of the General Director of Prisons, basing the decision on ethical and legal criteria violated by Mr. Patience Toska.

The decision comes in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Justice and the General Directorate of Prisons for improving efficiency and integrity in the justice system.

Minister Manja expresses confidence in the continuation of the work and the commitment to ensure a strong and fair administration", announced the Ministry of Justice.

Previously, Toska also ran the Drenova prison, as well as being the Mayor of the Hudenisht Municipality in the Pogradec District./ CNA
