Vucic: The goal of Kosovo, the expulsion of the Serbs

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, said that in recent days fear has reigned among the Serbian population in Kosovo and said that they "are leaning against the wall". He said that in the last round of dialogue in Brussels, Pristina has rejected any proposal for Serbian license plates and documents.

But, according to the Serbian president, Serbia's message to the Serbian population in Kosovo is that "no matter what the situation is, there will be no refugee columns because we will save our people from persecution."

Vucic made these statements in a speech addressed to the nation after earlier on August 21 he met in Belgrade with the representatives of the Serbs from Kosovo.

Vucic and the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met in Brussels on August 18 within the dialogue mediated by the European Union. The meetings in Brussels ended without an agreement regarding the recent tensions, which are related to the two decisions of the Government of Kosovo regarding Serbian license plates and documents.

The Serbian President repeated that in Brussels it has been requested to return KS license plates, to replace those issued by Serbia for Kosovo (KM, UR, PR and similar), but this proposal has been rejected.

KS license plates have a neutral status against the citizenship of Kosovo.

"They are not interested in implementing it, only how the lives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohia were destroyed. They refused everything. And KS plates, and everything. Because the only purpose of torturing our people in Kosovo is their final deportation"./REL
