Ukraine takes responsibility for the attacks in Crimea

Ukraine has claimed responsibility for a series of airstrikes in the Crimean Peninsula, a month after uncertainty about who was behind them, reports the British broadcaster, BBC.

One of the attacks, which happened at the beginning of August, targeted the Russian military base, Saky.

As a result of this attack, one person died.

Ukraine has refused to accept the role and even blamed Russian forces for the attacks.

This statement confirms an expansion of the Ukrainian conflict in Crimea, the Ukrainian peninsula that Russia annexed in 2014.
